Lady Gaga And Marina Abramovic Snuggle On A Haystack At A Hamptons Event (PHOTOS)

At a first glance they don't seem to connect, but judging by their careers so far, it's quite reasonable why they hang out - not to mention collaborate!

Of course, we are referring to Lady Gaga, 27, and Serbian performance artist Marina Abramovic, 66, who found common ground while cuddling on a haystack in the Hamptons on Saturday.

Gaga and Abramovic teamed up while attending the Watermill Center's 20th Annual Big Bang Benefit.

They both were joined, and perhaps introduced, by avant-garde stage director Robert Wilson.

Wilson, 71, is currently collaborating with Mother Monster on her fourth studio album "ARTPOP" - due out November.

It has to be mentioned that Wilson has also joined forces with talented artists like Marina Abramovic, Philip Glass, William S. Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg, Tom Waits and David Byrne.

Mother Monster was dressed in a sheer, leathery gown which fully exposed her lacy black bra.

Gaga put on newly black extensions, bleached brows and her new septum piercing at the glamorous event where tickets and tables ranged between $500 to $50,000.

For those who have missed it, Mother Monster made sure to visit Abramovic's exhibition "The Artist is Present at Manhattan's Museum of Modern Art" back on 2010.

Sharon Stone, Courtney Love, Christina Ricci, Liv Tyler, Lou Reed, Bjork and Ciara were among the celebrities to check out Marina's exhibition.

Abramovic's work is said to "explore the relationship between performer and audience, the limits of the body, and the possibilities of the mind."
